BEWARE. STAY AWAY. Absolutely HORRIFIC Experience. Their atrium smells of OPEN SEWAGE as does any hallway connected to it.

I've never been so humiliated in my life before encountering Greenhouse.
I was sent packing after 3 nights for answering questions too positively!!!!!! I said I wasn't feeling depressed, anxious nor suicidal. Three days in I was PULLED OUT IF GROUP THERAPY AND told to pack my bags. I was lied to and told this was 100% a decision by my insurance.

False. Only partially and at their direction.

Someone died here the day before my arrival. I know this as his roommate was still present upon my arrival. This is no word of mouth. Another person died two days before. My blood oxygen levels were reading 86-90 most of the time I was there. I believe I was given the boot as a way to hedge against the slightly elevated chances that I could have been the next one. That is cowardly and happened only after they'd sucked my bank account dry.

When you call any published number online you're not getting their front desk nor any real genuine "consultant" who gives a damn about your health. They are commission based. I made a $1400 copayment expecting 30 days of treatment! I did not make it having any earthly idea that it was even remotely possible that I could get the boot in front of any audience after just three nights!!!

The COMMISSION BASED SALES AGENTS at American Addiction / Greenhouse call center should have told me there'd be a possibility that they and my insurance could collude to give me the boot after just 2-3 nights!!

To add insult to injury I will soon get a bill for the remaining $250 of co-pay and whatever else they charge me for the pills I didn't ask for that they stuffed into my bags and the soap/shampoo I used.

I upended my life for this!! Both my family and employers only found out about my problems as a result of me having to tell them why I'd be MIA for what I expected to be 30 days . I gave my dog up to foster care (albeit temp... still incredibly disruptive for him!) for this?! I emptied my fridge, changed all four tires on myJUST to be sure I'd have a safe drive from Houston to Dallas all for this. The speeding ticket I got on the way up was also for absolutely nothing.

I will leave as many reviews as I can reflecting my horrific and humiliating experience at Greenhouse every freaking place I can IN AN EFFORT TO HELP WARN OTHERS ABOUT THIS PLACE. (Don't worry, insurance will get a piece too).

Greenhouse basically ruined my life as my depression, frustration and hopelessness is 3x as high as it was before having ever come in contact with Greenhouse.

To say that I am livid would be a massive understatement.

Due to greenhouses "help" I'm back home 3-4x angrier and more depressed than I was when I went in as I stare at a table of pills they loaded my luggage up with before I left. HOW CRAZY IS IT THAT I LEFT GREENHOUSE WITH MORE DRUGS THAN WHEN I WENT IN in the form of three more drug prescriptions - a total of 150 more pills. Again, BEWARE

The positive reviews here are borderline fake. And as this is a for profit commission based business I am sure most of them were generated using dishonest tactics. I witnesses them request reviews from patients while observing them only in their happiest moods or just after they'd stuffed some happy pills down some of their throats. They know where you are in the building, what you've eaten and when and what pills you've taken at all times. Request for reviews happen while you're onsite and haven't even finished treatment yet and only after they know you've taken your meds including sleeping and anxiety pills they hand out like candy.

My baseline used to be "happy". I've been seeing red and stewing in anger ever since I left Greenhouse.

Good job Greenhouse. I'd be SOOOO much better off in life having never known of your existence.

DONT GO HERE! They made me get COMPLETELY NAKED in front of two random woman and squat and cough and jump right when I got there even though I blew a 00 on arrival and was only there for alcohol. They had TWO BED BUG IUTBREAKS in the 21 days I was there. They don't count your first day there as a day in treatment and you don't get your phone for the first five days. You also only get to bring four outfits from your suitcase once you get there and you don't get your clothes for about a week. You also don't get access to anything you brought other than your clothes and you have to order everything off-line if you need a comb up blow dryer a toothbrush anything! They Do not ever knock to enter. They just walk straight in and you could naked they don't care! They treat us like prisoners. They also walk into Your room every 40 minutes even if you're sleeping or changing, it doesn't matter and they are super rude.

None of the furniture matches, they all look like random pieces taken from a junkyard.

Received incomplete and traumatic treatment due to the facility's inadequate care and unwillingness to advocate for me, or be transparent. In addition, an unsafe environment for obtaining sobriety. I was not the only person who experienced this while inpatient. There were staff sleeping on the detox floor during their shift - very dangerous, excessive room changes and changing roommates, as well as inaccurate & inconsistent information related to my cost, out-of-network benefits, and price transparency. There were aggressive individuals within their facility and also a physical altercation occurred one evening between two male patients. The facility's business office and prior authorization/utilization department mislead and lied about related treatment coverage and cost. I spent the last 6 days of my treatment stay here trying to communicate and resolve the insurance issues, which then on my second to last day was given a completely different explanation. This caused increased anxiety, emotional distress, and a traumatic situation with having to change treatment facilities mid-treatment. I was told by floor staff that I was leaving treatment before anyone from administration spoke with me about their plan to force me out the doors. On one positive note, which is why I gave two stars, many of the TA's did care, helped with whatever they could, and were genuinely concerned about the sobriety success of the patients. There were also some really great instructors who taught some of the classes here. However, the overall experience was very disappointing, discouraging, exhausting, uncomfortable, disruptive, and unprofessional.

Imagine being in the worst time in your life and then being taken advantage of for THOUSANDS of dollars by an alcohol addiction treatment facility. That was my experience with Greenhouse. Their facility is (excluding the new wing) is old and not properly maintained. I wheezed constantly in the old wing but my biggest complaint is the bill. I cannot express to you the stress they have caused me. I don't believe I received $4,100 in value in progressing in my disease. I would go another route if I had it to do again. I feel like for this much $ out of pocket they owe me more data, information and tools, instead of stretching with Levi or coloring with whatever that woman's name was. I've already contacted them asking about this and they said the estimate was only for 2 days of detox, which I never needed. They moved me to regular care around noon on day 2 because they understood I wasn't detoxing (I got there around 10pm the night before).

Bill is THOUSANDS more than initially quoted
Estimate emailed to me for treatment

Please don't send your loved one here for anything but perhaps alcoholism. They cannot be trusted, don't care about the families, their communication is horrible, and most importantly, they don't know how to taper their patients off their meds. They kicked our son out and left him on the streets with his prescription meds in his hands-- SO MANY too!!! They did not satisfactorily attend to our complaints and took no responsibility. So, all we can do is warn people. Please listen. It's life or death, and there are way better options out there!! Like Gallus!!

BEWARE! My son came as a dual diagnosis. Upon arrival they took health insurance information and requested a card on file to charge ONLY after he completed 30 days and chose to continue the program in their sober living environment afterward. My son was discharged and left homeless on the streets due to calling the ambulance multiple times because of severe chest pains. He was at the facility a total of 48 hours. A charge was charged to my card in the amount of $1250.00 which I disputed via my CC company. They then charged this amount again the very next month. It is obvious this facility is only amount money and not helping your loved ones.

First class facility, therapy is So healing. The atmosphere is fresh and comfortable. Everyone here is on the same mission to help clients get and stay well. Food is excellent, the athletic equipment is all first class. Yoga is great and the classes are so informative. A genuine blessing in the community. Thursdays l therapists, T/As , nursing staff, medical team, and all support staff genuinely care about each client. You can get well here!
